A Case for Advertising with us

The Blenheim Sun is growing and the people and residents are now relying more and more on The Blenheim Sun for their LOCAL news. For your information we have attached a current survey completed by the Marlborough District Council during July 2018.This survey shows how strong free community newspapers are within our region for local news. (see graph on about us page)

The residents of Marlborough overwhelmingly chose community newspapers as their main source of information, more than any other media, at 64.1%. A distant second is facebook at 16.3%. In fifth place is radio at 9.8%. The sample size for this survey was 800 Marlbarians, very large by survey standards. Great news for the Blenheim Sun and proof that community newspapers are the strongest advertising medium in Marlborough. This can be confirmed further with the Wednesdays letters to the editor page, more proof of local residents interacting with the Blenheim Sun. No other community newspaper in Marlborough has this interaction with their readers and publishes only LOCAL stories. Every week The Sun’s newspapers are crammed full of local news and local photographs, death/birth notices and situations vacant/ public notices.

Regional areas in New Zealand are different to metropolitan areas in regard to where they get their news from, newspapers are still strong in these areas. We firmly believe The Sun can work for you as it has for many of our long term advertisers, like Marlborough District Council, Blenheim Toyota, Mayfield Motors, Lynfords Furniture.
